As we have done in past years, this Thanksgiving we are counting our blessings - and there are plenty. There’s nothing like surviving two and a half years of chaotic-curve-ball-Covid life to remind us of some of the wonderful things we have day-to-day that we may take for granted. We are thankful for our family, friends, and pumpkin pie of course, but we also wanted to mention a few of our professional highlights from 2022 for which we are thankful.

1) Loosening COVID restrictions

Finally, we can meet in person again. We have learned a lot about each other as we work from home, but we can all agree that we all look way better in person than we do framed by those tiny little online meeting video boxes. Tradeshows felt brand-new and extra exciting after such a long hiatus. Meeting up with our partners and customers face-to-face has warmed our hearts and reminded us why we do what we do. We have Pierbridge families in the US, the UK, and Canada, and the global extended family keeps growing. It is truly great to see you all again!

2) Continued growth within the WiseTech Global ecosystem

Lots of new partnerships and integrations have us feeling energized this year. We integrated our information services, customer support, marketing, and sales teams with the wider company teams - and that translates into expanded support and deeper skills and experience for our customers. Better support means bigger successes.

We expanded the product integration into CargoWise solution areas like Warehouse, International Ecommerce, and Transport Bookings.

Strengthening and expanding our interactions with other WiseTech Global companies helped to improve our services, collaboration, and efficiency. Our sister companies, Microlistics and SmartFreight, supported us in delivering exceptional fulfillment and final-mile solutions, and the combination of capabilities has put us in a much better position to help our customers succeed. In addition, our US-based sister company, SaaS Transportation, has been integral to helping manage and communicate capabilities, as the blurring line between parcel and freight narrows.

3) Expanding partnerships

We are very proud to continue to work with existing partners, like: Pitney Bowes, ConnectShip, Essential Hub, Endicia, Labelmaster, FedEx, UPS, and USPS.

Transtream is now part of the WiseTech Global partner program, and we are excited about the opportunities to work with existing CargoWise partners around the globe. Add to that our growing business and service partner network, including: Sendflex, SHIPrq, NewAge Infotech, and many more. So many more, in fact, that once we recover from our turkey feast – we will be updating the “Partner & Marketplace” experience on our website, which will make it easier for customers to find partners to help them improve their shipping practice.

4) Developing Transtream capabilities & training

Thanks to all the hard work by the team in 2022, we have created some fantastic momentum that is going to thrust us into 2023. We are adding more carriers and carrier services like SmartKargo and FedEx International Connect. Our new Optimization and Planning capability, through our partnership with Sendflex, helps our customers be better final-mile shippers and carrier partners.

Personal Shipping, where employees can ship personal packages at the office using their own credit card, was improved this year, now allowing customers to use their own rates for their employee shipping.

And on the training side, we expanded online learning and launched our first certification program, with the goal of putting our customers and service partners in control of their own shipping solution.

5) Dedicated Pierbridge teams

We are immensely grateful for the tenacity, creative thinking, and positivity of our teams and the individuals that make up those teams. This cannot be overstated. Everyone navigating through a global pandemic together was a wild ride and, frankly, a mind-boggling ordeal at times. So, give yourselves a pat on the back - it has not been easy. But here we are - wiser, stronger, and more resilient for it. Empowering and enabling our piece of the logistics industry.

Pierbridge wishes you and yours a very happy Thanksgiving.
