Pierbridge and Innovations Group Inc. (IGI) will showcase the release of their combined solution, with Pierbridge's Transtream parcel shipping solution integrated with Postea's QubeVu dimensioning and cubing systems, at this year's National Postal Forum. The solution provides parcel shippers with a way of more accurately calculating shipping charges and reducing unexpected dimensional rate fees. The National Postal Forum will take place in Baltimore, Md. May 21-24.
"With UPS and FedEx applying dimensional weight rating to more packages, Transtream's integration with QubeVu enables shippers to put controls in place at the point of shipping to eliminate rating mistakes," said Bob Malley, Pierbridge CEO. "Transtream's dimensional rate shopping capabilities provide USPS shippers with potentially huge savings."
In addition to calculating dimensional weight, QubeVu's patented 3D technology captures images of shipments and contents at time of shipping. Transtream stores the image with the shipping transaction for verification, security, and claims protection.
